The Secret of Weight Loss: How Visualization Guarantees You’ll Achieve Your Ideal Weight Quickly and Effortlessly

You know the benefits a healthy weight can deliver -- better health, better appearance, better performance. What’s not to want? But wanting doesn’t mean you’ll take action. And without action, achievement doesn’t happen.

Best of all, visualization makes action effortless. Too good to be true? Hardly. When a child plays, the play is action but it requires no effort, no willpower -- because the child loves play. When you do “work” you love, you don’t need willpower to keep the iron in the fire.

That’s the transformational power of visualization -- it makes the actions of losing weight effortless, enjoyable, motivational.

Try these three easy stages of visualization to melt away your fat pockets.

Stage one -- Visualize What YOU Want

First off, you should sit down without a magazine or an internet browser in sight. Put away wasp-waisted, narrow-minded media ideals of body image. Decide what YOU want for your body. The point of visualization and vision boards is to empower you to set and achieve your own goals. That means not letting ad executives pull your strings with air-brushed images of fashion models. Be your own ad exec and choose your own ideal body image.


Stage two -- Set Up a Vision Board in Order to Visualize Yourself at Your Chosen Weight

Once you’ve decided what you want, the next step is to create a vision board. For a long-term goal such as losing weight, create a special vision board -- one dedicated especially to losing weight.

Choose ideals. What does your ideal body mean to you? Why do you want it? Health? Confidence? Longer life? Responsibility? Healthier children? A healthier family? A healthy pride? Better work performance? Better athletic performance? Better sex? Brainstorm with a pencil and paper. Write a list of the reasons why you want your ideal body.

Find photos that illustrate your ideal body. Find at least one goal-image for each reason. These might be images that show you at your chosen weight. They might be photos of you from the past. They might be photos of someone with a similar body. Go beyond body images. For example, “Health” -- maybe for you that’s a photo of a man climbing a mountain. Or of the mountain itself. You get the idea -- choose images that strike you emotionally. Put that in your multi-media vision board.

Choose photos emotionally, not intellectually. Motivation is an emotion. You cultivate that with images, not with with intellect. Choose images that spark an emotional response in you.

You already know what to do in order to lose weight -- it doesn’t depend on complicated information, despite what the diet industry tells us millions of advertisements. It’s simple: exercise moderately and eat moderately. If you want help learning about moderate exercise and moderate eating, it’s not hard to find. Google it up.

The problem is not knowledge. The problem WAS motivation. Your vision board solves the problem of motivation. It solves that problem with emotionally powerful images.

When you’re finished creating your weight loss vision board, you’ll have created a tool that will motivate you to manifest the goal of achieving your ideal weight.

Stage three: View your vision board as often as you can -- and watch your pounds drop away.

Watch your multi-media vision board at least two or three times a day. Whenever you feel the pressures of body images in the media, you can now avoid them by turning to YOUR images in your vision board.

Feel the advantages of your weight loss. Anticipate them so deeply you feel you already have them. See yourself at your ideal weight. See yourself effortlessly making choices that lead to achieving your goal. You’ll take the appropriate actions -- like a child playing a favorite game, and winning.

It’s a game you will certainly win now.
